I can't believe that there are two entire threads on HOD dedicated to bashing Dom.

Pretty sad.

Terry needs to just come to grips, and play piano already.

I think Terry is great, but this crap I found on his web page is a bit cocky

A percussion array that spans sixteen feet, includes literally dozens of drums and cymbals, and requires no fewer than eleven pedals to operate must require several drummers to play it.
But there's only one Terry Bozzio.

Musical credits ranging from the eccentric and ultra-complex compositions of Frank Zappa to the new-wave pop of Missing Persons, and from the blazing progressive rock of UK, the Brecker Brothers, and Jeff Beck to the esoteric stylings of the Lonely Bears should demand the talents of several different drummers.
But there's only one Terry Bozzio.

Then there's the development of a completely new approach to solo drum performance, along with the composition of musical pieces for that new approach. And the design of a toally new line of cymbals. And the invention of specialty drumsticks and bass drum beaters. Surely these things require the imagination and creative skills of multiple individuals. Nope.
But there's only one Terry Bozzio.

The fact is, Terry Bozzio has accomplished more, in both traditional and totally original roles, than virtually any other drummer in the history of the instrument. He's spent his career expanding the boundaries of percussion, and he's nowhere near a stopping point. So come along for the ride!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I'll give him the first paragraph. As for the second, I beleive most on that list have had different drummers as well. Third paragraph, isn't what he doing just like multiple perc. pieces but more prolific. Anyways who else has the endorsements to fund this kind of thing? Oh yeah, I never knew Terry knew how to lathe and hammer metal into a cymbal.

It's so disheartening to read stuff like this on someones own web page. I'm so glad my fav(Vinnie) is so modest.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I dont think there was any Dom bashing in this thread. At least not by me. I am not altogether uncertain Dom himself wouldn't say, "What the hell is this guy thinking?"

Steve..... funny!!

Although I've got to give it to Terry. I'm not making a living playing drums.

I think the "sounds" he's created with what looks like roto-tom frames put into a HH stand are really interesting. I have the EZtree torrent of him playing with that orchestra in Germany (me thinks its Germany??), and I feel it's a little over the top. Can't really handle listening to it for very long. But Terri's is definetly one of the guys that set some new ground for alot of us players.

Not to insult Dom, and I agree with the poster that said going out of your way to make fun of him isn't productive. I would take issue with the websites claim about Dom. Just my own opinion.

I know what you mean. How the hell can Bozzio reach that water bottle from where he's sitting? He could dehydrate and pass out during one of his long pieces.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Haha!

Moose.....I think terry's got a pedal for the water that feeds to him when he plays
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hehe!

Terry needs to just come to grips, and play piano already.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hahaha! Amen on that one!

... I must say, this topic has the most funny quotes on one page of all the ones i have read so far, keep up the good work
